Children’s Ministry at Watkins Chapel
We believe that children are not the church of tomorrow — they are the church of today. Our goal is simple: to help every child in our care know who Jesus is, understand what He has done, and begin to walk with Him for life.
Every program we offer is built around God’s Word. Our curriculum is biblically sound and drawn from trusted sources such as Lifeway and Answers in Genesis.
Here’s what a Sunday looks like for your kids:
Sunday School — 9:00 AM
Sunday School runs from 9:00 to 9:45 AM and is offered for children ages 3 through 6th grade. All children’s classes meet upstairs. Your child will be grouped with others their own age for a time of Bible teaching, discussion, and activity in a fun, welcoming environment.
Children’s Church — 10:00 AM
Children’s Church is available for children from preschool through 3rd grade during our Sunday morning worship service. Kids begin the service with their families in the sanctuary. Following the offertory, children are dismissed and escorted upstairs for their own age-appropriate worship experience built around the Word of God.
Children in 4th grade and above remain in the main service with their families.
Wednesday Evening — 6:30 PM
Wednesday nights are one of our favorite times of the week. Children gather at 6:30 PM for a high-energy first half — games, activities, and time to connect with friends. The second half of the evening slows down for a snack, a Bible lesson, and time to dig into what God’s Word says about how to live.
