PLAN A VISIT
If you’re planning to visit with us on a Sunday or Wednesday, we would love for that to happen. In fact, if you would like to plan the visit beforehand, please click here to access our Online Connection Card so we can get things ready for you and your family. If you decide to show up unannounced on Sunday, that is no problem either! We would love for you to stop by the First Time Guest/Children’s Check-In table at the Lobby Entrance so we can meet and assist you!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Watkins Chapel Baptist Church exists to help people of every generation come to know, accept, and follow Jesus Christ. Our services are designed to reflect the many expressions of worship that our church values. We want to celebrate the fact we have diverse groups of individuals worshipping in the same space but stay focused upon the main thing, which is Jesus Christ. Regardless of when you attend you can expect to be greeted kindly and immediately welcomed into the family at Watkins Chapel Baptist Church. Lastly, there is no dresscode at Watkins Chapel Baptist Church. Please wear you feel most comfortable in when worshipping Jesus Christ.
ABOUT US
Founded in 1924, Watkins Chapel Baptist Church is a family that seeks to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, help them grow in the relationship with the Lord, and challenge them to serve others throughout their communities. Located just five miles south of Carolina Mudcats Ball Park, Watkins is a multi-generational community of believers from all different walks of life. Visitors and members alike say we are a body of believers who strive to be both “friendly” and “Biblically sound!” They also call us “, Christ-centered, compassionate, faithful, loving, fun, outwardly focused” and “great for families with children of all ages.” From our wonderful youth and children’s ministries and incredible missions outreach to music and preaching … and Sunday School communities offering small-group support, fellowship, and teaching … Wednesday evening Bible Studies … ministries for those grieving, those with cancer and other community-based ministries … we hope to build stronger relationships with God through our church and to make a difference in our small community, North Carolina, and beyond!
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
While you are in Sunday School, Worship, or Mid-Week Bible Study, your kids will be having a blast in the Kid’s Ministry @ Watkins! We promise they will be taken care of while you enjoy the worship service. We offer both Sunday School and Children’s Church for your children, as well as Wednesday Nights, which provide an opportunity to meet new friends, learn about Jesus, and have a whole lot of fun! When you bring your children to church, you will be met by one of our Children’s Ministry Volunteers who’s ready to assist you with any questions or requests you may have! We also offer Nursery services for parents who are interested. While we offer all of these ministries, we want our parents to know that they are not required to use any of them if they so choose. Children are absolutely welcome to stay with their parents at any time while visiting!
